WEEKLY REFLECTION @GHSS KULATHOOR
                    As per B.Ed. curriculum of fourth semester ,we had started our second phase teaching practice from 06/11/2019 Wednesday.We were excited to be back to GHSS Kulathoor.I got to teach English in IX:B.The concerned teacher assigned me to take the 1st chapter of the 4th unit Dawn of Hope.The first chapter was The Jungle Air Crash and I used activity cards in the class.Pupils were very eager to learn the lesson and they showed great interest.

                     My first class was on the first period for the 9th standard and I dealt with the chapter The Jungle Air Crash which is being written by Juliane Koepcke and I taught them about the author.I covered 2 lesson plans of the chapter .It was very much effective in the class .On 7/11/2019 during the school assembly prizes were distributed in the school by Excise Inspector KazhskKazha as a part of the program 'VIMUKTHI' an anti drugs student program .The students showed positive attitude towards learning the lesson.

           6/01/2020 - 10/01/2020               In this week I taught them the new topics 'Relative Clauses'. Pupil were very active and they were eager to learn about relative clauses. I used various classroom activities.                     This week I continued grammar.I also taught them about Active voice , Passiv voice , Simple Present Tense & Passive Voice in Simple Present Tense. I used chart,activity card and a few slide presentations for making the class effective.Pupils were actively responding to the scaffolding questions.Their response gave me a sense of satisfaction. The students showed positive attitude towards learning the grammar. We completed some textual activities.           I was able to complete the second phase of teaching practice successfully.

CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAMME REPORT             AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON BENEFITS OF READING.      INTRODUCTION As a part of the B.Ed. curriculum we have to organise a Conscientization Programme.It was an individual activity.So I decided to conduct an awareness class on the topic "BENEFITS OF READING ".    'Reading is the act of a person who reads , ability to read,any matter that can be read written or printed text'.      OBJECTIVES ● To discover new things. ●  To improve the language . ●   To provide awareness on benefits of reading. ●  To develop the reading skills among students.        REPORT I organised an awareness programme on the topic "Benefits of Reading ".The programme was conducted on 10th January 2020.For this programme I selected the 9th standard students.I gave them information about the "Benefits of Reading".First I gave the students...

            25/11/19 - 29/11/19             In this week I started the new chapter. 'The Last Leaf ' by O.Henry.This short story narrates the power of hope ,the spirit of friendship and sacrifice that help the people to survive adverse circumstances in the life .Pupils were very active and they were very eager to know the story . I used various activities for teaching grammar in the classroom.The students showed positive attitude towards learning the lesson.                                       On 28th November ,The school had conducted a special assembly.The students were provided opportunities for publishing their Constitution. The students of class 8,9 & 10 had published the Constitution. Students presented their rights in the Constitution.
