CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAMME REPORT AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON BENEFITS OF READING. INTRODUCTION As a part of the B.Ed. curriculum we have to organise a Conscientization Programme.It was an individual activity.So I decided to conduct an awareness class on the topic "BENEFITS OF READING ". 'Reading is the act of a person who reads , ability to read,any matter that can be read written or printed text'. OBJECTIVES ● To discover new things. ● To improve the language . ● To provide awareness on benefits of reading. ● To develop the reading skills among students. Weekly Reflection
6/01/2020 - 10/01/2020 In this week I taught them the new topics 'Relative Clauses'. Pupil were very active and they were eager to learn about relative clauses. I used various classroom activities. This week I continued grammar.I also taught them about Active voice , Passiv voice , Simple Present Tense & Passive Voice in Simple Present Tense. I used chart,activity card and a few slide presentations for making the class effective.Pupils were actively responding to the scaffolding questions.Their response gave me a sense of satisfaction. The students showed positive attitude towards learning the grammar. We completed some textual activities. I was able to complete the second phase of teaching practice successfully.
30/12/19 - 3/1/2020 In this week I taught them the new topics,'Relative Pronoun'.Pupil were very active and they were eager to learn about relative pronoun.I used various activities for teaching grammar in the classroom.It was very much effective in the class. This week I continued teaching grammar & also discourses.I used Models of Teaching for making students understand the discourses as well as adjective .Pupils were actively responding to the scaffolding questions.Pupil grasped the content.Their response gave me a sense of satisfactson.The students showed positive attitude towards learning the grammar as well as discourse.Students were very much in doing activities.We completed some textual activities related to Relative Pronoun.
2/12/19 - 6/12/19 This week I continued the same chapter. Pupils were very active and they were eager to know the story. I used various activities for teaching grammar in the classroom. Pupils were very actively responding to the scaffolding questions. Their response gave me a sense of satisfaction. We completed some textual activities related to chapter Pupils grasped the theme of the lesson . In this week I conducted a test paper to evaluate the performance of my students. Students performance was good. I completed this chapter. This week our optional teacher Swapna Ma'am came for observation.
25/11/19 - 29/11/19 In this week I started the new chapter. 'The Last Leaf ' by O.Henry.This short story narrates the power of hope ,the spirit of friendship and sacrifice that help the people to survive adverse circumstances in the life .Pupils were very active and they were very eager to know the story . I used various activities for teaching grammar in the classroom.The students showed positive attitude towards learning the lesson. On 28th November ,The school had conducted a special assembly.The students were provided opportunities for publishing their Constitution. The students of class 8,9 & 10 had published the Constitution. Students presented their rights in the Constitution.
